Smash Haus Padel, a brand new padel venue based in Peterborough is due to open its doors on Monday 18th May 2026, making it the first fully indoor padel venue in the county of Cambridgeshire.

The club consists of four super-panoramic doubles courts, with each court fitted out with high-performance LED sports lighting (Halo lights), a club shop, a bar area with television screens, a surround-sound system, a large upstairs mezzanine area with comfy seating, a quiet workspace, full changing facilities and free parking. The advantage of the club being indoor is that play won’t be halted all-year-round, which sometimes is an issue with the British weather in the winter.

The club is keen to develop an established community feel, which is highlighted in the offerings of free taster sessions such as Intro to Padel, Family Fun Days and Social Americanos. These sessions will help players gain a feel for the sport and could encourage individuals to take up a new sport like padel, benefitting physical and social health.

The owner of the club recently spoke to us, highlighting how the club could be a huge step forward for padel in Cambridgeshire: “We thought there was a lack of fully indoor venues in the region, so we are delighted to be opening one in Peterborough. We think its essential that clubs are community driven, so we can’t wait to welcome people of all ages/genders to our club. Padel can be a sport that contributes really well to a healthy, active lifestyle, therefore it’s important for people to have access to new sports like padel in their local area. We can’t wait to get fully underway here at Smash Haus!”

Smash Haus is available to book through the Padelmates app, and has options to become a member, or pay-as-you-play. Court pricing for non-members starts at £32 for off-peak timings, and £48 for peak timings.
