This club review has been long awaited with Soul Padel’s new 4 covered courts being launched on the 7th June after their very successful 2 outdoor court.
Soul Padel are a club that sit very closely with us at Proper Padel, they are the reason we started our journey in this amazing sport and facilitated the majority of our initial games. Everyone at Proper Padel have been eagerly awaiting the new covered courts and the excitement was building in the community for the launch of the new club.
The sense of community surrounding the club and the social element is hard to ignore, it has always had one of the best atmospheres in the North West. The recent launch of their initiatives Soul Sisters and Soul timers really emulate their community environment.
Their courts are booked on playtomic and you can book here.
Price – 9/10
Their roofed outdoor courts are £30 per hour during off-peak hours, whereas during peak times their courts are £40 per hour. They have decided to keep their outdoor courts which have not changed in price and cost £24 per hour during off peak and £36 per hour during peak hours. Alongside the courts you can rent a racket at the clubhouse for £2.50.
It is hard not to praise these prices, coming in at the cheapest in the northwest to play padel. This mirrors their message that the sports is for everyone and anyone, this is what attracted us to Soul Padel at the start and there is the hope that many others follow suit with these prices.
Hopefully, as there is more of a surplus of courts the prices will emulate those in Spain, therefore making the sport more and more affordable and would definitely score a ten.

Courts – 9/10
The buzz around the club and community persisted for weeks before the courts had launched and it is safe to say the courts delivered the hype. After playing on the courts we came away with a ‘Wow’.
It is evident that the courts have been carefully looked after, maintained and after playing on them it is clear that the staff have a care for the quality of courts. We did not have any issues losing any balls, as we have had that issue at other clubs and there is ample room between each court with benches for when you are knackered between sets.
The courts play very quick, which leads to lots of smashes and fun rallies with lots of variety in shots needed to win a point! We couldn’t recommend them enough.

Facilities – 8/10
The club has an amazing clubhouse which offers many different refreshments from vitamin well drinks to coffee. You can also get protein snacks, which are powered by Applied Nutrition.
There is a toilet on site and the club itself is extremely aesthetically pleasing, which is always a bonus when arriving at the club. Furthermore, if you need any sporting needs including a new padel racket it is directly next to Decathlon, which is unique benefit of Soul Padel.
The option of playing in covered or outdoors is a great option as when it is nice and sunny playing outdoors is always good fun. The large space outside the clubhouse allows for people to warm up lowering the chance of getting injured, which is being more and more common. Overall the facilities are top quality and cater to all your needs.
Location – 8/10
The club is located in Stockport and it is directly next to the Decathlon, it is the perfect place to get all your sporting needs. It is easily accessible for those both in Manchester and in South Manchester with lots of parking for those who drive.
Overall – 34/40
Overall it was an excellent club and one that we will be revisiting for the foreseeable future. It is one that we will always have strong connections with and will be ever grateful for Soul Padel starting our Padel journey. We will keeping our eyes peeled on what Soul Padel have to offer in the coming future.
