The Proper Padel team have visited Manchester Padel club, from when it had 2 covered courts, 2 touch courts and an outdoor court, to now where it has 4 covered, one outdoor and 2 touch courts. The club is based in Heald Green, which is in Stockport and has the unique feature of the touch courts ( 1/3) size.

Similarly to the majority of the clubs within the country all bookings are made via Playtomic. They offer different sessions and have club coaches who take 1-2-1 sessions, the sessions include classes, socials and americano tournaments. The club is open 7am-9pm 7 days a week.

The club coach is one of the UK’s top coach Leo Padovani , who was former World top 10. Alike the majority of clubs they provide a Whatsapp groupchat where players can connect and find open matches. We will be ranking this club on the following four categories: Price, courts, location and facilities. Each category will be ranked out of 10, giving the club an overall end score out of 40.

Price – 8/10

Their roofed out outdoor courts are £48 an hour, which equates to £12 a person. The outdoor courts are priced at £36 an hour, which equates to £9 a person and lastly the touch padel courts are £24 an hour, which equates to £12 a person.

The courts are acceptably priced at £12 an hour per person for roofed outdoor and it is the general price across the North-West for similar facilities. However, there are clubs in surrounding distances such as Powerleague, which is why they are given 7/10 instead of higher.

Courts – 9/10

The courts at Manchester Padel Club are high quality and it does not matter if you are on the centre court or the outdoor court they are all excellent. It is evident when playing at the club that they are well maintained and there is a deep care for the quality that the courts are kept in. There is good spacing between the courts, meaning those who are high quality players have plenty of space to run out the court when their opponent has hit an X3. Due to the large space between and around courts you rarely lose a ball, which is an issue found at some clubs.

Facilities – 9/10

The facilities at Manchester Padel Club are some of the Best within the Manchester area, with 4 covered courts, 1 outdoor and the touch padel courts you are left with many options and allows you to play no matter the weather. Alongside, the wide variety available there is also a drinks and snack bar on site that caters to all needs. The large space used allows for a good warm up and there is mention of a warm up area coming soon.

They also have seating unlike any other club, with a large stand on the centre court to watch the high level matches and tournaments which happen at the club. Furthermore, they also have a great seating area close to the snack and drinks bar.

The unique facilities with the touch courts that are 1/3 the size of a normal court and are not seen at any other club are what boosts the score to a 9/10.

Location – 8/10

The club is located in Heald Green, Stockport, which is well situated for those both in Manchester and Stockport. It is easily accessible by driving and also public transport ( if you don’t mind a little walking) which is great for players that just want to play as much as possible.
