Within these teams, there are some significant sporting stars that are invested in each of them. Most notably, KRU Padel are supported by huge Argentinian football stars Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero. Another footballing star who is invested is Robert Lewandowski, hence the team name RL9.
Furthermore, Rafa Nadal Academy Team is owned by one of the best Tennis players of all time, Rafael Nadal. In addition, AD/vantage Padel Team are co-owned by former British number one Tennis player Andy Murray, and two-time World Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua. Last but by no means least, 10 Padel is supported by current Formula One star, Pierre Gasly, who races for Alpine, the Hexagon Cup sponsor for this year.
Team AD/vantage have had a recent boost with the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) partnering with them on 28th January 2025, meaning that awareness of the sport will be raised across Britain and also on an international stage. This partnership is not exclusive to this event and will see content collaboration throughout 2025 and beyond.
At the Hexagon Cup, the best players in the world will be competing in 2025 to win the largest prize pot in the history of the sport, sitting at 1.2million euros.
The format of the tournament is as follows: Each team who has entered will be made up of six players, including two franchise players (players who have a high FIP ranking). Each team will compete in eight matches across the first four days. These matches are broken down into three men’s matches, three women’s matches and two next-gen matches.
Every match matters because a win in a men’s or women’s encounter will score the team two points in the league table, whereas next-gen encounters will score the team one point for a victory.

Once these eight matches have concluded, the teams with the highest number of points in the league table will battle it out in a final on Sunday 2nd February, alongside third and fourth playing each other in a third place play-off to determine the last podium place.
